What's a Community Foundation?
Community foundations are a tax-exempt charitable organizations that enable people with philanthropic interests to easily and effectively support the issues they care about immediately or through their wills. Community foundations are one of the fastest growing sectors of philanthropy in the country and are the backbone of strong and vibrant cities and towns.
Meriden-Wallingford Community Foundation was started in 1998 to build a “community nest egg” and to provide funding for cultural, educational, economic, health and human services, in order to make Meriden and Wallingford a better place to live, work and raise a family.
